Ranthambore Tiger Safari Time Table

Ranthambore operates two wildlife safari slots every day. Timings vary seasonally based on sunrise and sunset, typically as follows:

Note: Safari zones are open from October to June. During monsoon (July–September), only Buffer Zones (6–10) may be open in select months.

Safari Vehicle Options & Prices

There are two types of safari vehicles: Jeep Safari (Gypsy) and Canter Safari.

Jeep Safari (6-Seater)

Perfect for smaller groups, photographers, and wildlife enthusiasts.

Safari Zones

Ranthambore National Park is divided into 10 zones. Zones 1–5 (core area) are historically known for higher tiger sightings.

Zones 1–5 are closed on Wednesdays due to weekly restriction, while other zones rotate their weekly closure as per forest department rules.

Best Time for Safari

Early morning safaris are typically best for tiger sightings.

Remember: Wild animal sightings aren’t guaranteed — they depend on nature and forest conditions.

  • Reach the safari entry point 15–30 minutes before scheduled time.
  • Wear earth-toned, silent clothing to avoid disturbing wildlife.
  • Carry water, binoculars, sunscreen, and a camera.
  • Respect forest rules — no loud noises, no feeding animals, and stay inside the vehicle.
